TRANSCOAL 2010, April 9, 2010 |

The Russian Federation is one of the leaders in global coal export supplying the needs of 45 countries. In the last few years Russia has been increasing its volumes of coal shipment but the main challenges hindering its development still remain: the low carrying capacity of transport facilities, out-of-date handling equipment and lack of developed railway infrastructure.
According to experts, coal handling capacity in Russia lacks 15 million tons. High transport ratio in coal prices boosts the need for competent logistic solutions.
Keynotes for the conference include:
Participants are welcome to discuss the following key issues:
- Global coal prices and coal export proceedings;
- Favorable streamlines by Ukrainian and Baltic terminals as compared to Russian ports;
- Railway tariffs and freight rates – which way does the tide flow?
- Investment in terminal capacities and railway infrastructure by coal companies;
- Approach ways to ports – high coal congestion ratio;
- Latest technologies of coal handling.
Our event is a wonderful opportunity to keep updated on coal industry features and establish business platform for further development with your fellow coal experts.
